Pop Art Portrait

The magic wand tool made it possible to select any shade of color the picture had after making it black and white with only 5-6 shades of color due to the cutout filter applied to it. I made my portraits unique by applying different filters to each picture. Some would add texture to the pictures or darken/glow the outlines of each shade of color. Some pictures would have complementary colors (orange-blue, green-red/pink) while others used more colors to bring out each part of the picture.

The strongest part of my visual is the color contrast as most are complementary to each other and lets certain parts of the visuals to stand out more. The visual can be improved by adding more filters to make each picture as different from each other rather than the color choice making them look different. I made the original picture have adjusted brightness/contrast and then set it to black and white. From there I set each picture to have 5-6 shades of color and create a duplicate layer. I then start to replace the grays with complementary colors after selecting the shades of color with the magic wand tool and using the paint tool to set the color. I made adjustments to the curves to give more color to the picture and then apply filters to make the portraits look different from each other. The easiest part of the activity was just having to mess with different filters to get the whole picture to change in an instant. The difficult part of the activity was picking several colors to blend in and not have any major repeats when the 4 meet. I met the objective of the activity by using the layer tool and magic wand tool to highlight the shades of color. I'd take a different picture with better lighting if I could do this again because the picture seemed to have huge areas of one shade of color after forcing it to have 5-6. I'd rate my effort a 8/10 as I was really lazy about trying to get a good picture and I didn't use as many filters as I'd like to make the 4 portraits very different from each other.
